About The Position

Unique opportunity to join Maryhaven, Central Ohio’s largest and most comprehensive behavioral services provider specializing in addiction recovery. The Therapist will provide mental health services to individuals incarcerated in the Delaware County Jail. Services will include but are not limited to mental health assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and case management. This position is onsite at the Delaware County jail. One therapist will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9 am – 5pm and the other therapist will work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9 am – 5 pm. Some coverage of other shift may be requested. Additional responsibilities include being responsible for creating, safeguarding, and maintaining documentation necessary for professional services, ensuring documentation accurately reflects client progress and services provided and properly note any amendments. The Therapist will also provide assessment and diagnosis to individuals, including assessing clients' mental health status, history, behaviors, and emotions, to accurately identify any mental health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans. Participation in weekly group supervision and participation in other mandatory Maryhaven trainings will also be required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human services or behavioral healthcare field.
  • Two (2) years counseling experience in the field of substance abuse or mental health.
  • Valid State of Ohio licensure LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC.

Responsibilities
