About The Position

Clinician II provides therapeutic interventions and service coordination for families with at-risk children in the home, community, or office setting. This position offers theory-based individual and family counseling/therapy to adults, children, and families, including those involved in foster care, independent living, and adoption programs. Clinician II also provides Intensive In-Home, Intensive Care Coordination, Therapeutic Mentoring, Family Engagement, and Outpatient Counseling services.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree and two years experience working with youth and family.

Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive assessment addressing behavioral, developmental, and psychosocial needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Treatment Plans.
  • Request and maintain current authorizations from insurance carriers.
  • Provide counseling and therapy based on client needs.
  • Facilitate and maintain a positive relationship with referral sources and community resources.
  • Meet all reporting requirements as mandated by program funding sources.
  • Pursue professional development as outlined by the applicable licensure board
  • Meet all program and organization reporting and paperwork deadline requirements.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by Program Director or Supervisor
  • Seek consultation and supervision from other clinicians or supervisors within their community.
  • Participate in supervision with Clinical Supervisor, staff meetings, and training events.
  • Maintain documentation regarding service provision
  • Attend assigned meetings, including Family Assessment Planning Team (FAPT), Individual Education Plan, and staff meetings
  • Implement interventions using an appropriate theoretical framework based on client needs.
  • Coordinate services and provide crisis intervention as appropriate
  • Utilize Attachment Parenting principles and Trauma-informed Care concepts
  • Provide supportive counseling to children and families
