About The Position

Clinician II provides therapeutic interventions and service coordination for families with at-risk children in the home, community, or office setting. This position offers theory-based individual and family counseling/therapy to adults, children, and families, including those involved in foster care, independent living, and adoption programs. Clinician II also provides Intensive In-Home, Intensive Care Coordination, Therapeutic Mentoring, Family Engagement, and Outpatient Counseling services.

Requirements

A Masters degree and two years experience working with youth and family.

Responsibilities

Complete comprehensive assessment addressing behavioral, developmental, and psychosocial needs of children and families.
Develop and implement Individualized Treatment Plans.
Request and maintain current authorizations from insurance carriers.
Provide counseling and therapy based on client needs.
Facilitate and maintain a positive relationship with referral sources and community resources.
Meet all reporting requirements as mandated by program funding sources.
Pursue professional development as outlined by the applicable licensure board
Meet all program and organization reporting and paperwork deadline requirements.
Perform other duties as may be assigned by Program Director or Supervisor
Seek consultation and supervision from other clinicians or supervisors within their community.
Participate in supervision with Clinical Supervisor, staff meetings, and training events.
Maintain documentation regarding service provision
Attend assigned meetings, including Family Assessment Planning Team (FAPT), Individual Education Plan, and staff meetings
Implement interventions using an appropriate theoretical framework based on client needs.
Coordinate services and provide crisis intervention as appropriate
Utilize Attachment Parenting principles and Trauma-informed Care concepts
Provide supportive counseling to children and families
