About The Position

The Therapeutic Youth Mentor at Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch provides direct support, guidance, and mentoring to help youth develop coping skills, improve communication, and build positive relationships. As role models, therapeutic youth mentors facilitate activities and work collaboratively with other team members to assist youth in reaching their goals.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Driver's License to operate a passenger vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 products.
• Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and ability to engage a diverse group of participants.
• Effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Exercise and model good judgment, teamwork, and professionalism, especially in crisis situations.
• Collaborate with teams, supervisors, educators, community partners, and families to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Create and conduct necessary documentation accurately and maintain documentation expectations in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
