At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges. The Therapeutic Transportation Aide will safely assist in the transport children ages 2 ½ -5 presenting with crisis and behavioral health issues. Summary of Essential Functions: Support the CATCH driver and aide daily as needed, both during routine activities and during emergencies Serve as lead caregiver for any child who, in the judgement of the Therapeutic Transportation Aide, exhibits disruptive behaviors while being transported to and from the TN program Provide children with safe and orderly transportation to the TN program ensuring door-to-door transport and assisting children on and off vehicle assisting with seating, assistive devices, safety and behavioral concerns using a trauma-informed framework daily Support the completion of pre & post shift inspection of vehicle to ensure a safe journey for our children, including vehicle cleanliness Report and document any incidents of concerns involving children served or of any unsafe or inappropriate practices according to CCTC policies and procedures Meet weekly with the Transportation Coordinator to review assigned and discharged children on assigned van, discuss strengths and/or concerns/issues while performing duties as Therapeutic Transportation Aide Participation in internal as well as external trainings ensuring completion of CCTC mandatory trainings.
