Join our team at Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in Provo, Utah, where you'll empower clients of all ages through creative, evidence-based recreation therapy. You'll be based at our Parkview location while also supporting a variety of departments across the clinic, giving you a dynamic mix of settings and opportunities to make an impact. Must have Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) active in the State of Utah. Schedule : Tuesday - Saturday (Days are Varied), 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM (Hours are Varied) Compensation : $22.22–$28.14 DOE and Licensure Wasatch Behavioral Health is a local government agency dedicated to providing compassionate, accessible mental health and substance-use services.   • Create meaningful, evidence-based recreation therapy plans tailored to each client's needs
  • Lead fun, therapeutic group and individual activities in both indoor and outdoor settings
  • Complete assessments and track progress to support each client's growth and goals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to keep treatment plans aligned and effective
  • Document services in the EHR accurately and on time
  • Help shape program improvements and maintain a safe, supportive environment
  • Provide services across multiple settings and locations within the agency
  • May supervise TRT Technicians, interns, or fellow TRT Specialists
  • Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreation Therapy (or another bachelor's with an approved TR emphasis; graduate degrees accepted)
  • Completed therapeutic recreation practicum
  • Licensed Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS) in Utah
  • Solid understanding of recreation therapy principles, including the APIED process
  • Ability to plan and facilitate therapeutic groups/activities for varied physical, cognitive, and behavioral needs
  • Experience working in outpatient, crisis, and/or residential settings
  • Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Accurate and timely EHR documentation skills
  • Knowledge of behavioral health conditions, adaptive interventions, and safety protocols
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working in active indoor/outdoor environments and participating in physical activities
  • Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
