This position is responsible for the organization and leadership of a variety of recreation activities including, but not limited to programs for children and adults with disabilities and inclusion support. Essential Functions: These are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position. Organizes, promotes, teaches, adapts and conducts a variety of recreation activities, such as arts and crafts, sports and games, music, dance, drama, nature study, and special events. Assists in organizing, promoting and directing tournaments, shows, socials exhibits, festivals and special events. Supervises an assigned functional area of the center, such as gymnasium, athletic field, game room, crafts room, etc. Coordinates and assists in conducting organizational and county wide events. Plans a variety of activities catering to different age groups with disabilities and varying degrees of participant skills. Additional Duties: Employees in this classification may be expected to perform any related duties as required by proper authority.
