The Therapeutic Recreation Director is accountable for the development, implementation, supervision and ongoing evaluation of the activity and recreation programs to ultimately enhance residents' quality of life. Completion of the activities component of the comprehensive individual assessment and contributing to resident care plans to ensure the activities programs are designed to meet the individual interests as well as physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Implements programs, monitors responses to them and determines if individual resident needs are being met, revising as needed and keeping with the Resident's Bill of Rights as well as the facility Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
