Our GA Community Action Treatment (CAT) program is recruiting for a Therapeutic Mentor. Program is located in Region 1 and 2 (near Cherokee county and surrounding areas). DESCRIPTION: Georgia Community Action Treatment (CAT) is intended to be a safe and effective alternative for children with serious behavioral health conditions that are creating crisis in the family. Upon successful completion, the family should have the skills and support system needed to maintain improvements made during services. The goals of the CAT program are to: Strengthen the family and support systems for youth and your adults to assist them to live successfully in the community; Decrease out – of – home placements, including psychiatric hospitalizations and Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) involvement; Improve family and youth functioning; Decrease substance use and abuse; Transition into age - appropriate services; and Increase health and wellness.
