About The Position

- The Therapeutic Mentor at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing guidance and support to clients, helping them develop social skills and coping mechanisms. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized treatment plans that promote mental health and well-being.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a therapeutic setting.
Proven track record of developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
Familiarity with community resources and support services for mental health.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
Ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.
Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate client records and documentation.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in challenging situations.
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices in mental health care.
Cultural competence and sensitivity to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement therapeutic mentoring plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Facilitate individual and group sessions to promote social skills, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
Collaborate with clinical staff to assess client progress and adjust mentoring strategies as needed.
Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress.
Document client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans.
Engage with families and caregivers to support the client's therapeutic journey and ensure a cohesive approach to treatment.
Stay informed about the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices in mental health mentoring.
