The Therapeutic Area Head PKS (Global Health) position at Novartis is a pivotal role that can be based in either Cambridge, MA or East Hanover, NJ, with a preference for Cambridge. This full-time position is integral to the PK Sciences (PKS) organization, which encompasses over 400 projects from discovery through development. PKS is a global entity comprising around 300 associates within the Translational Medicine (TM) division, the clinical research arm of NIBR. The primary mission of PK Sciences is to bridge the gap between drug discovery and clinical application, ensuring that innovative medicines reach patients, particularly in underserved populations in developing regions. As the Therapeutic Area Head, you will lead a team of project representatives who are experts in drug discovery and development. Your responsibilities will include delivering the PK science strategy and ensuring scientific excellence across Global Health Disease Areas and the associated marketed products portfolio. You will oversee the implementation of preclinical and clinical drug discovery activities, ensuring that all scientific endeavors within PK Sciences contribute to the success of the Neuroscience portfolio. This role requires a strong focus on developing strategic partnerships with governance boards and ensuring that project-specific plans are scientifically tailored and compliant with medical and regulatory standards. In this leadership position, you will be the principal representative of PK Sciences to Global Health partners, driving collaboration and alignment on portfolio priorities.
