About The Position

Under general supervision, administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. The Respiratory Therapist II acts as lead therapist when assigned and performs all other duties as requested by management in accordance with established Policies and Procedures within the job specification.

Requirements

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy (Vocational Training).
• Current State licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the Department of Health and State of Florida.
• Current BLS certification.
• Less than one year of Critical care for ventilator management.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Three (3) or more years previous Respiratory Therapist experience in a major health care facility.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
• Act as lead therapist when assigned.
• Provide NICU patient care, including ventilator and oxygen assessment.
