About The Position

Theatre Utility Worker – Facilities & Grounds Hours vary; evenings, weekends, and holidays during event season Keep our venue clean, safe, and guest-ready for every performance. What You'll Do Assist the Facilities & Grounds Lead with cleaning, maintenance, and outdoor operations at the Foellinger Theatre. Support venue readiness, event setup, and grounds upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests, performers, and staff.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to follow instructions and perform routine manual tasks
• Able to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Flexible schedule for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions

Nice To Haves

• Experience in custodial work, groundskeeping, general labor, or facility maintenance preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning: sweeping, trash removal, restroom cleaning, surface wiping, and restocking supplies
• Support pre-show and post-event venue cleanup, including seating areas and public spaces
• Assist with landscaping: mowing, trimming, planting, mulching, watering, and debris removal
• Help maintain outdoor aesthetics and safety standards
• Assist with minor facility upkeep: repairs, painting, cleaning fixtures
• Set up and strike equipment for events, including chairs, signage, trash bins, and barricades
• Monitor and report hazards, maintenance issues, or unsafe conditions
• Support Parks Maintenance staff and other departments as needed
• Follow all safety standards, PPE requirements, and safe lifting practices
