About The Position

The Theatre Department at the University of Southern Maine is seeking applicants for our 2024/2025 academic year Theatre Productions on the Gorham Campus. Through a wide-ranging production season, interdisciplinary collaborations, community and school outreach, and interactive theatre experiences, the University of Southern Maine's Department of Theatre contributes to the rich cultural, creative, and artistic life of the greater Portland area and the state of Maine. We are looking to fill various positions for our upcoming productions, including Head Electrician, Props Artisan/Coordinator, Guest Choreographers, and Guest Designers for multiple shows throughout the academic year.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working in theatre and/or performing arts and/or theatre production.
• Ability to attend rehearsals and production meetings based upon production schedule.
• Ability to work collaboratively with our faculty and staff, as well as college-aged students in a learning environment.
• Ability to uphold the positive reputation of the University of Southern Maine.
