Prepare employees' work schedules, coordinate, and prioritize projects and workloads. Ensure that employees are properly trained (not only for their own responsibilities but for backup support as well) and seek out ways to advance their skills and capabilities. Evaluate and anticipate work volume and assign/distribute work accordingly. Assist in recruiting and hiring of Theater candidates/employees. Make compensation recommendations and communicate decisions to all direct reports. Participate in any complex personnel situation along with management.  Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews.  Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities. Work with the Museum, Theater, Crown Store Manager on theater policies, public issues, website, social media and advertisement issues, bookings, and theater improvements. Administrative Duties - Input movie data in ticket computer and daily entry of pre-sale tickets. Generate daily reports for booking agent and any other reports needed by management, order all promotional items for films, reconcile cash register and ticket cash drawers daily and make all bank deposits. Maintain the Lock One Theater’s website, social media and newsletter.  Coordinate Theater advertisements and distribute flyers before an upcoming movie.  Generate all accounting reports and send to appropriate people.  Answer emails and phone messages daily for the Theater and maintain Theater message line.  Monitor cleanliness of Theater.  Operational Tasks - Perform work in all aspects of theater operation from projection booth to cleaning. Operate digital equipment, maintain poster cases and daters, and monitor/order concession supplies.  Miscellaneous - Report any or all repairs required in the Theater.  Search for improvements to current procedures.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Very little to no travel
  • Overnight stays unlikely
  • Job requires employee to drive a personal vehicle to conduct company business < 20% per week (8 hours) and/or travel locally between company locations during scheduled workday
  • Per 8-hour shift. Sit 5 hours. Stand 3 hours. Typical office environment (low noise level, limited exposure hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, and vibrations). Regular interaction with others and performs a degree of independent work. Infrequently lift up to 10 pounds. Physical and mental demands are akin to the majority of office positions with prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged use of a computer/keyboard.  Infrequent lifting, walking and climbing stairs.  Occasional use of office equipment (copiers, printers, etc.)
