About The Position

The Vines Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing department. The LPN will play a crucial role in providing direct patient care in a behavioral health setting, ensuring the safe administration of medications, assisting with daily activities, and participating in patient education. This position is essential for maintaining a therapeutic and rehabilitative environment for our patients.

Requirements

• Valid LPN license or Registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Minimum one to two years of experience as an LPN in a hospital or other healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and as scheduled.
• Provide direct patient care, assisting with meals and daily activities.
• Participate in change of shift reporting and charting.
• Engage in patient education and appropriate documentation.
• Record medication variances for investigation by the RN.
• Assist with completion of medication recapitulation and treatments as needed.
• Report unusual findings to the charge nurse.
• Assist staff during crisis situations and intervene as necessary.
