Requirements

  • Must complete a state-approved 90-hour Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Must pass the Kansas state CNA exam (written/oral + skills test)
  • Must be listed in good standing on the Kansas Nurse Aide Registry
  • Certification must be maintained with at least 8 hours of CNA work every 2 years
  • High School diploma or equivalent (required)
  • At least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in assisted living, long-term care, or similar is a plus
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility & transfers, incontinence care
  • Support residents with meals, snacks, and activities
  • Provide assistance in the dining room (serving and clearing tables)
  • Respond promptly to call systems and emergencies
  • Document and report changes in resident condition to Health & Wellness leadership
  • Help keep resident rooms and common areas clean, safe, and welcoming
