About The Position

As the Store Manager, you will lead and develop the store staff while executing company strategies to ensure a peak brand experience. Your role involves maintaining optimal staffing levels, recruiting and motivating a team of brand advocates, and maximizing store profitability through effective expense control and adherence to store standards. You will set an example for customer engagement and ensure a consistent best-in-class customer experience that aligns with the brand's values.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of multi-unit leadership or store management experience.
  • People and performance management experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and profit results.
  • Proven ability to drive results through the store team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build, lead, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Excellent decision-making ability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.

Nice To Haves

  • High volume/high complexity retail experience.
  • Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Experience in a specialty retail environment, outdoor apparel industry, or outdoor equipment sales.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve store sales goals and promote productivity through measurement and monitoring of progress against key targets.
  • Model brand-specific service standards and ensure the team engages with each customer to create an authentic brand experience.
  • Manage store schedules, loss prevention, store audits, expense control, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support store marketing events and build community relationships to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
  • Provide coaching and training programs to the store team in customer service, brand identity, product knowledge, and operations.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met by implementing floor-sets and merchandising directives.
  • Maintain store inventory through proper shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Select, hire, and develop a high-performing team and maintain succession plans for staff.
  • Communicate and deliver rewards, recognition, and performance appraisals; address performance issues as needed.
  • Promote a respectful and inclusive environment that encourages participation and creativity.
