CORE 314X – The Good Life: Ethics, Happiness, and Dialogue Across Disciplines is an exploration course team taught by Dr. Andrew Guest and Dr. Dave Turnbloom. Drs. Guest and Turnbloom are eager for support from a Teaching Assistant to help strategize and guide 75 enrolled students through weekly conversations through this UP Core exploration level “big ideas” course offering multiple disciplinary perspectives and the wisdom of others to unpack the meaning of a “good life.” In the tradition of the liberal arts, students have the opportunity to learn about how a wide range of academic disciplines and UP faculty experts think about happiness and applied ethics, work and money, faith and spirituality, the common good and justice, media and technology, relationships and education, the vision of a good life embedded in a UP education, and further areas that provoke their curiosity.
