About The Position
The Field Burger & Tap Server position is located at the beautiful 102-room Toftrees Golf Resort, nestled amid 1,500 scenic wooded acres in Centre County, Pennsylvania. Shaner Hotels, an award-winning hospitality owner-operator and management company with over 65 properties, is seeking a server for its award-winning restaurant, The Field Burger and Tap. The resort features guestrooms and suites, an outdoor heated pool, fitness center, 11 event rooms, and a golf course. The server will be responsible for ensuring compliance with daily operational procedures, maintaining food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications, and ensuring effective communication with the General Manager, other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff. The role requires availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
- Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- ServSafe and/or food safety training.
- Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
Nice To Haves
- Some college preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.
- Collect payments.
- Assists in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
