About The Position

The Director assumes primary technical and administrative responsibility and leadership for the Rosalynn Carter Mental Health and Caregiver Program (RCMHCP), which consists of four pillars: Rosalynn Carter Caregiver Initiative, Global Behavioral Health, U.S. Public Policy, and Rosalynn Carter Journalism Fellowships and Newsroom Collaborative. The Program works to achieve measurable reductions in discrimination against persons with mental illness/substance use disorder (MI/SUD), increase accurate and effective mental health journalism, enhance mental health/substance use support services through public policy and global health systems strengthening, and elevate recognition of the role caregivers play and improve support for caregiving. This role requires frequent international travel to help supervise and manage field operations, with Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) required.
