The position provides Planned Maintenance (PM), safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service to general and various specialized diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as assigned by the Clinical Engineering (CE) Manager. The role requires understanding and demonstrating the mission, vision, and core values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions. The technician will perform PM procedures on multiple types of clinical equipment, using manufacturer’s recommendations and industry standards as guidelines. They will also perform corrective maintenance procedures, diagnose problems, and document results to comply with regulatory requirements. The technician will interact with clinical staff to resolve operational problems and will be responsible for ordering parts and supplies for emergency service or repair of medical equipment. Additionally, the role includes providing on-call service coverage after normal business hours and assisting in training junior technicians.
