What You Will Do: The THAAD KSA Production Program is looking to staff a unique role in support of the KSA Depot in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The selected candidate will serve as an AMPS Technician and should have firsthand knowledge of the AN/TPY-2 system and will be expected to assist in developing, testing and integrating an initial KSA Depot capability to include developing a depot plan, delivering the AMPS 101 while providing both Quality Assurance (QA) and test support. The selected candidate should have extensive experience with operating Automatic test systems / computer operation, experience with testing / troubleshooting power electronics. In addition, the selected candidate should be prepared to provide backfill and surge support to fielded teams, when needed. The selected candidate must have a working knowledge of AN/TPY-2 spare parts, tools and test equipment. Please note – This role will require a US Expat to forward deploy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) under the terms of a Long-Term International Assignment (MOU). Execute tasks using electrical test equipment, DMM, power supplies, O-Scopes, and electronic loads. Read, understand and use prescribed electrical schematics Identify any potential quality issues early and help to prevent their occurrence. Develop releasable troubleshooting and repair procedures & validate with SME support. Identify Non-Conforming Material at inspection for proper disposition. Reads, interprets and utilizes Quality policies, procedures, blueprints and other documentation. During rotations and surge support, be capable of performing AN/TPY-2 Hardware maintenance in motor pool and tactical settings at fielded THAAD radar sites.

Requirements

  • Experience operating the Radar to collect calibration data
  • Knowledge of radar theory and experience with Radar X-Band hardware/software concepts, RF systems, troubleshooting, and reading/utilizing hardware schematics.
  • Experience in maintaining and providing engineering assessment and corrective actions on faulted equipment, and installation and testing of engineering modifications/updates.
  • Experience with logistics or system maintenance support of technical hardware and / or software in a military or civilian environment.
  • Experience maintaining comprehensive documentation of integration and testing procedures, results, and issues
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
