About The Position
At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH Radiation Therapist I, is a valuable member of our team, who provides clinical services to our patient population. The incumbent will be a member of our radiation oncology clinical team. The candidate will be responsible for the daily operation of numerous radiation treatment machines including proper documentation of treatment procedures and billing for daily treatment activity. This is a full time staff radiation therapist position. This person is responsible for administering daily treatment on Varian accelerators to patients using various treatment techniques along with simulating and scheduling patient for treatments. This person reports directly to the Assistant Director of Radiation Therapy. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
