About The Position

The TGCM Process Engineer acts as the subject matter expert on Facility Chemical and Gas systems within a client site. The primary duties include system performance optimization to ensure uninterrupted, defect free service supply to the client factory. Additionally, the TGCM engineer will provide advanced troubleshooting, startup & commissioning support, higher level maintenance support, configuration control, Documentation, as well as support risk assessments. The TGCM Engineer will collaborate with equipment OEM, internal operations teams, cross-site operations teams and key client stakeholders to maximize the value to the client.

Requirements

  • BS Chemical Engineering from ABET accredited University
  • 2 years’ experience in the Semiconductor industry, or an equivalent role in a chemical related industry
  • 10 Years experience in a similar role in lieu of BS ChE degree.
  • Use of basic hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to use Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to Multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Exentec’s Incident Free Workplace culture and lead by example in daily operations.
  • Ensure site compliance with Exentec and client EHS programs, policies, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Support incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and reinforce proactive hazard identification, lead JSA evaluations on Job plans
  • Conduct safety audits and promote continuous improvement to reduce risk and maintain world-class safety performance.
  • Continually evaluate system performance, identify poor performing equipment and develop recovery/improvement plans.
  • Utilize SPC to maximize performance. Lead RCAs when an excursion occurs.
  • Support the equipment maintenance program including PM Job scheduling, frequency, quality and optimization.
  • Ensure critical spares are evaluated and stocked to balance cost with reliability.
  • Component 2nd sourcing strategy to ensure alternative components are pre-approved for usage
  • Identify upgrade opportunities, perform NPV analysis with client.
  • Develop and/or ensure up to date system documentation including PM job plans, SOOs, Troubleshooting Specs, P&IDs, PFDs, SOPs and other critical documentation needed to operate
  • Identify all critical parameters (Set points, alarms, deadbands, PID, etc.) necessary to maintain compliance to customer specifications, develop process and procedure to maintain control through the use of Management of Change System printing’ to ensure all critical setpoints are checked and maintained at predetermined frequencies
  • Act as the escalation point for operations to solve advanced problems
  • Develop models to evaluate cost of ownership, evaluate options to reduce cost to client including condition-based maintenance, alternative materials, etc. using risk-based evaluations
  • Develop content of technical training packages to enable the onboarding and training of new employees as well as upskilling of existing employees.
  • Evaluate risk within a systematic methodology, communicate to leadership and client.
  • Collaborate with the OEMs, GC, EOR, Client and Exentec teams to assist with the startup and commissioning of equipment to meet client needs for gas and chemicals.
  • Develop OAT/FAT documentation/startup plans
  • Identify system deficiencies and escalate to customer point of contact for resolution.
  • Support Safety Level sign off
  • Execute OAT/FAT with clients, document equipment fingerprint.
  • Collaborate with cross site Exentec engineering, operations and maintenance teams
  • Other duties as assigned
