About The Position

Responsible for scheduling pre-determined work activities of Transmission field personnel in TFS Station and TFS P&C departments. Collaborate with field supervision and operations to collect data and maintain front-end loaded schedules as well as ready-to-execute resource loaded schedules that optimize the maintenance work plans, capital work plans and other TFS work activities. Complete and submit accurate outage requests for TFS work activities, including entering outages into iTOA/OSI, verifying that all required outages have been entered, and monitoring for changes to outages. Become familiar and develop an advanced knowledge of scheduling software and requirements. Must be a self-motivated individual and able to work under minimal supervision, be a good communicator and work well with others.

Requirements

  • TFS Work Mgmt Coord Assc(Grade -005) Education requirements are listed below: Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Associate's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related technical field or High School diploma, vocational training, or equivalent and 4 years' utility field experience.
  • Work Experience requirement listed below: No additional experience required with the minimum Education requirements listed above.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor Degree in a Business field, such as Accounting, Finance or Management will be accepted if they have at least 2 years of maintenance work scheduling or construction project scheduling experience or other relevant utility experience.
  • Utility field experience would include Transmission or Distribution Line, Station, P&C, Transmission engineering, Transmission or Distribution dispatch experience; or maintenance and/or construction work/project scheduling or project controls experience is strongly preferred.
  • TFS Work Mgmt Coord(Garde -006) Work Experience requirement listed below: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field such as Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management and 1 years' experience or Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related technical field and 3 years' utility experience or High School diploma vocational training, or equivalent and 6 years' related experience.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor Degree in a Business field, such as Accounting, Finance or Management will be accepted if they have at least 6 years of maintenance work scheduling or construction project scheduling experience or other relevant utility experience.
  • Utility field experience would include Transmission or Distribution Line, Station, P&C, Transmission engineering, Transmission or Distribution dispatch experience; or maintenance and/or construction work/project scheduling or project controls experience is strongly preferred.
  • TFS Work Mgmt Coord Sr(Grade -007) Work Experience requirement listed below: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field and 4 years' related experience or Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business or related field and 5 years' related experience or High School diploma, vocational training, or equivalent and 8 years' related experience.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor Degree in a Business field, such as Accounting, Finance or Management will be accepted if they have at least 8 years of maintenance work scheduling or construction project scheduling, or other relevant project controls experience.
  • Utility field experience would include Transmission or Distribution Line, Station, P&C, Transmission engineering, Transmission or Distribution dispatch experience; or maintenance and/or construction work/project scheduling or project controls experience is strongly preferred.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Proficient with MS Office Tools, Excel, SharePoint
  • Ability to read/ interpret electrical schematics
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively and to prioritize work
  • Some travel required, must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Development of fully integrated resource loaded and levelized TFS work schedules that optimize maintenance work plans, capital outage work, and other TFS work activities using Transmission approved scheduling software and tools.
  • Comply with the Outage Coordination Procedures and all Regional Transmission Operator (RTO) guidelines.
  • Manage TFS outage requests, including entering outages into outage request software (iTOA or its successor), verifying that all required outages have been entered, and ensuring that all outage requests are approved by Operations.
  • Coordinate changes to the work schedule when an outage needs to be canceled or rescheduled.
  • Assist in organizing, coordinating and attending the supporting areas outage coordination meetings.
  • Assist in the development, review, and presentation of statistical reports related to work scheduling and adherence, crew utilization, etc.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with other sections/departments covering scheduling, staffing and outages.
  • Develop and promote a strong Safety, Culture, professionalism, good teamwork skills, effective communication skills, and become familiar with planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Perform all duties and work with others in a safe manner in compliance with appropriate Company safety policies and rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
