About The Position

The TFE Operator will be responsible for machine operation, which includes troubleshooting, documentation, and ensuring the quality of material. The role requires the ability to adapt to different situations and follow both oral and written instructions. The operator will be tasked with installing proper tooling, loading, running, and monitoring the extruder with minimal downtime. Additionally, the operator will make pre-forms out of resin as specified on the order card, measure and maintain the correct wall thickness of tubing, and ensure that tooling and machines are kept in good working condition. The operator will also be responsible for polishing and straightening tooling on a lathe, keeping the work area clean and free of debris, and observing all safety rules and regulations. Good communication within the department is essential.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
• Ability to adapt to different situations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively and push/pull approximately 11 lbs.
• Ability to walk up and down stairs.
• Ability to perform visual inspections to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products.
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
