The Expansion Operator will expand, cut, inspect, bag, and tag tubing. The employee must have the ability to perform inspection functions such as visual inspection to detect cosmetic defects and color differentiation of products. The role involves working with solvents like naphtha, acetone, and alcohol, and requires adherence to safety equipment and rules. The position requires standing within a 30-foot by 36-inch area with very little time to sit down. The job includes lifting up to 40 pounds periodically to a height of 36 inches, constant walking, and some stationary standing. Legible writing is essential for filling in worksheet data. The operator will also be responsible for cleaning the area using brooms, mops, rags, and all-purpose cleaners as required. A thorough knowledge of standard and good sense practices is a must, along with the ability to carry out oral and written instructions and adapt to different situations. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position, as any unscheduled absence or tardiness will negatively impact production objectives.
