Military Customer Support and Services is seeking a motivated individual to help enhance fleet readiness for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) customers operating TF33 engines on the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft. This field service engineer (FSR) position is well-suited to an individual seeking to demonstrate and further develop his/her project management abilities while acquiring broad-based whole engine experience. This position is located in Geilenkirchen, Germany.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or related technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or an Advanced degree with 5+ years; or an Associate's with 7+ years; or 12+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • In-depth knowledge of the TF33 engine a must; familiarity with TF33 hardware, maintenance, and operations are required.
  • Travel Requirements: 20-30% to Turkey, Greece, Italy and U.S.A.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who do not possess US citizenship.
  • Must be able to gain a NATO Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Able to search for Comprehensive Engine Maintenance System (CEMS) to verify maintenance activities are properly captured.
  • Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised.
  • Represent P&W answering complex maintenance issues with NATO customer.
  • Thorough understanding of engine operating systems and aircraft interface.

Responsibilities

  • Act as primary technical interface between Pratt & Whitney and NATO TF33 customers and Depot organizations.
  • Provide complete timely responses to customer technical questions and track in appropriate systems.
  • Research technical issues and correct source data to resolve systems level issues, coordinate with program management and customers to implement solutions to improve engine safety and readiness.
  • Support coordination and participate in company teams sent out to customer locations for special inspections, data collection, evaluation of designs, etc.
  • Coordinate and present technical issues in support of customer meetings and conferences.
  • Assist with multiple projects focused on minimizing the rate of Unscheduled Engine Removals and improving the efficiency of depot maintenance to increase engine supportability.
