The position involves partnering with the Sr. Textile Technologist to ensure effective cross-functional communication to prevent delivery, price, or quality issues. The role requires ensuring that all prints, patterns, and graphic packages/artwork are valid and viable for each region and vendor, developing graphics according to the seasonal sourcing strategy provided by graphic partners. The Textile Technologist will focus on color and layout to meet design intent, submitting prints to suppliers and tracking the status of strike-offs. This role also acts as a coordinator with Print/Graphic Designers, regional offices, and printers to execute patterns and meet milestone deadlines, ensuring that colors match established color standards. The responsibilities include reviewing print, pattern, and graphic submissions with product design teams, ensuring timely approvals, exploring printing methods and costing options while preserving design aesthetics, and managing expectations of cross-functional partners if deadlines cannot be met. The role requires following up with designers, CAD artists, and vendors regarding printing techniques and limitations, and supporting the final alignment for special strike-off approvals for prints and graphics.
