About The Position
The Textile Hanger is responsible for hanging donated textiles. In addition, the Textile Hanger must maintain the production area by keeping the workstation clean, neat, and in a safe condition. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Hang donated textiles using appropriate hangers based on the type and size of the textile. Keep the production area clean, neat, and safe. Maintain a well-groomed appearance and appropriate dress code including a name badge. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES Assist in Textile and Miscel power hour process per established procedure. Responsible for performing their assigned duties within the framework of our Core Principles. Attend in-service and related training as assigned by Team Leader. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to adhere to the organization’s Core Principles.
- Knowledge of retail and/or stock handling.
- Ability to react calmly and react to emergency situations.
- Ability to listen and follow directions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of shoe brands and current trends.
- Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred.
- Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills.
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Standing and walking for long periods.
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers.
- Level 2: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
