About The Position
The Pharmacist II plays an integral role in supporting the Texas Cares Rx program by focusing on community outreach, education, and operational support. The primary responsibility of this role is to engage with healthcare providers, community organizations, and public health entities to promote the Texas Cares Rx program's initiatives, ensuring that underserved populations have access to essential pharmaceutical services and resources. The Pharmacist II also contributes to the development of educational materials and public health campaigns that promote safe and effective drug utilization. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reporting to the Texas Cares Rx Program Manager, the Pharmacist II is responsible for providing operational support, performing research to improve program efficiency, and actively participating in community outreach efforts to raise awareness of the program's benefits.
