About The Position

The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission. Responsibilities include possessing and demonstrating thorough knowledge of all tests offered at all centers, proctoring exams for students and non-students with disabilities, and managing all administration duties related to the online scheduling system. The role also involves coordinating third-party testing efforts, responding to inquiries, maintaining security of testing materials, entering test scores, providing support to students, and assisting the Director of Testing and Accommodations with clerical tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required, Associate degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with general office procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience in postsecondary education, including familiarity with testing protocol preferred.
  • Ability to deal with the general public, including students and faculty, in a positive and effective manner.
  • Skilled in telephone etiquette.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Experience in postsecondary education to include familiarity with testing protocol preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Possess and demonstrate thorough knowledge of all tests offered at all centers.
  • Proctor exams for students and non-students with disabilities after completing proctor training and certification.
  • Manage all administration duties pertaining to the online scheduling system.
  • Correspond promptly with all parties involved in a testing appointment, both internal and external.
  • Coordinate all third-party testing efforts, including cohort testing within the service area.
  • Respond to walk-in and telephone inquiries for information on tests.
  • Oversee the verification of all testing appointments, ensuring proper identification is provided by testers.
  • Maintain security of all testing materials within the Testing Center and assist with proctoring remote exams as needed.
  • Enter test scores promptly and accurately.
  • Provide basic support to students of all ability levels and extend assistance as needed.
  • File all testing registration forms and score report information in a timely manner.
  • Provide clerical support to the Director of Testing and Accommodations.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of office and educational materials used by the Testing Center.
  • Effectively communicate with staff, students, and vendors.
  • Perform all other duties as may be assigned.

Benefits

  • Part-Time position with up to 29 hours per week.
  • Rate of Pay: $16.00 per hour.
  • Non-Exempt FLSA Status.
