About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Software Testing Lead to oversee the setup, governance, and execution of our testing efforts using Jira Zephyr. This role will be responsible for configuring and optimizing the test management environment, supporting a QA team with test case imports, establishing governance standards, and enabling efficient collaboration between manual and automated testing teams, as well as working closely with the PMO efforts. This position will track and manage the testing, daily execution, blockers, and deep dive sequencing needed. This role will work closely with other technical resources and the PMO teams. This role is remote and will be a 3-6 month engagement on a 1099 contract. We do not offer Visa sponsorship for this contract and all candidates applying must be able to work without requiring sponsorship.

Requirements

• Must have proven experience as a Test Lead managing test activities in Jira Zephyr with a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience.
• Strong understanding of test management frameworks, QA lifecycle, and reporting best practices.
• Experience supporting manual and automated testing teams in an Agile or hybrid development environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and consistency.
• Prefer a basic history of PM understanding with PM delivery and execution and ability to collaborate with PMO.
• Must be detail oriented, strong communicator and able to work within fast deadlines and changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Configure Zephyr for Jira to support project testing requirements and align with our QA processes.
• Partner with project teams to import and organize test cases using our established template.
• Define and implement folder and test cycle structures to ensure testers can easily access and manage their assigned work.
• Set up key views, filters, dashboards, and reporting to provide visibility into test progress, coverage, and results.
• Conduct basic user training sessions for testers and stakeholders.
• Advise on test automation integration and linkage within Jira Zephyr.
• Establish and document best practices for test governance, including test flow management and tester handoffs.
• Provide recommendations for ongoing QA process improvements based on experience with multi-tester environments and structured test flows.
• Collaborate effectively with other cross functional teams including QA, PMO and executive stakeholders.
