About The Position

Lead testing, verification, and certification planning for component-level and system-level testing of the connected home products throughout the life of the products. Build and maintain reusable, scalable, and automated test benches and lab infrastructure to improve test cycle time and reduce product validation effort. Develop and implement engineering best practices, processes, and procedures for testing across the connected home engineering. Perform engineering, CAD solid modeling, design simulation, product specifications, drawing packages, Bill of Material (BOM), systems development, for product testing and design validation equipment. Define, document, and evolve the test and verification framework to ensure high reliability. Drive the UL, CSA, ISTA certification process end-to-end, including identifying applicable standards, define testing requirements, working with internal and external labs to plan testing and coordinate submission and testing cycles. Support continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in test execution and proposing optimizations. Participate in new product development/introduction, innovation, idea creation and implementation, prototype assembly and testing, DFMA assessments, plus other design-to-industrialization activities. Participate in project management and engage with multi-disciplined teams to achieve goals using ProLaunch and other project management tools. Ensure timely completion to project commitment dates. Champion Safety, compliance, and design for testability across connected home engineering team. Position is fixed based in Moon Township, PA office; however, telecommuting from a home office may be allowed up to 2 days per week. 20% International and domestic travel required for meetings, implementations, and team build.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or a directly related field
  • five (5) years of experience in product development of electromechanical products/systems per industry regulatory standards.
  • Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently): Root cause analysis and troubleshooting engineering systems.
  • Engineering product development experience in electro-mechanical products, IoT connected products or circuit protection products.
  • Working in a global business environment with remote teams to deliver the best results while leveraging very diverse experiences within the team.
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC) experience and Design Thinking experience with output applied to successful product developments.
  • CAD/SolidWorks/CREO solid modeling experience and the ability to develop 2D drawings and assembly documentation including design intent.
