The Testing 2 position is responsible for performing a wide range of testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities on electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems to ensure product quality and reliability. Based in Wilsonville, Oregon, this role supports engineering and production teams by executing test procedures, analyzing results, and identifying defects or inconsistencies. Our Advanced Structures team leverages advanced materials and additive manufacturing to develop complex interior and exterior solutions. These solutions ensure structural integrity of the aircraft, help aircraft take off and land, stay trim in the air, move forward, carry cargo and conduct rescues. Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronic theory needed

Nice To Haves

  • High level of Electronic Theory of Power Supplies, Signal Generation and Processing, and Optical Theory.
  • Experience assembling, aligning, or testing optical components in complex assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex technical tasks in a wide variety, or specialized areas, requiring advanced skills and developed expertise in electronic and/or optical test of avionics equipment in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and procedures.
  • Performs a variety of highly complex technical tasks which may include digital, analog and/or Radio Frequency technology.
  • Expert at the application of electronic theory to test, troubleshoot, determine solutions applicable to the area/product/ or program charter.
  • Identify problems, identify solutions and effectively implement corrective action.
  • Perform product testing as directed.
  • Use precision measuring equipment, read detailed mechanical drawings and be able to interpret specifications and requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and identify calibration and equipment problems.
  • Highly proficient at test data analysis.
  • Inspect/verify materials/parts and sub-assemblies to ensure proper identification, configuration, segregation and quality status.
  • Subject matter expert on technical issues and should be able to fill in for any absent technician.
  • Write technical and/or administrative reports as required.
  • Assists Technicians and/or Engineers in defining, analyzing, and solving problems.
  • Provide support as needed for lean events and Total Productive Maintenance activities.
  • Mentor less experienced technicians to achieve established objectives.
  • Perform as member of a team utilizing effective communication skills.
  • Actively promotes team decision making.
  • Directly interface with responsible personnel from various departments on technical matters related to specific problems/issues.
  • Demonstrated technical competency across a mix of cells and/or products, two or more with significant product differentiation, that reinforces enterprise flexibility.
  • Flexibility to support production schedule requiring working overtime hours and alternate shift hours.
  • May be required to lift/move heavy parts and/or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to comply with personal equipment standards as they apply to manufacturing.
  • May be required to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
