TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. has an opening for a Tester - Manufacturing in its Anderson, SC, location. Primary Responsibilities The Tester is responsible for performing various tests and inspections on a variety of tools and accessories, including, but not limited to, proper labeling, information on data plates, and proper torque. Primary Duties: Capable of starting, using manual or automated means, power equipment. Capable of placing power equipment on a test station and making necessary adjustments to ensure performance and environmental standards are maintained. Dispose of non-conforming material per established procedures. Capable of interpreting and/or completing charts, schedules, reports, forms, and records. Must operate equipment safely and wear specified PPE such as earplugs, safety glasses, etc., as deemed necessary for the safety of the operator, coworkers, and facility. Continuous mental and visual attention requires constant alertness or activity. Maintain equipment in clean and good working order, reporting equipment problems to the supervisor. Strive for continual improvement in departmental processes and functions. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Prefer a High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent. Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience or training PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Essential Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Use of simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, and fractions). Physical Demands Standing for extended periods of time. Repetitive motion. Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling of parts and containers. Frequent lifting up to 50lbs – team lifts over 50lbs. Able to work in various temperature conditions.
