About The Position

The Tester II position at Eaton's IS AER FMC division involves performing bench testing of various parts, subassemblies, and completed units. The role requires adherence to established procedures and safety protocols while ensuring efficient and accurate testing operations. The position operates on the 2nd shift, from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and requires a detail-oriented individual capable of working independently under general supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 1-2 years' work experience in Mechanical and Electromechanical Assembly, or Fuel, Hydraulic, and/or Pneumatic Testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to understand fixed gauges.
• Detailed oriented and able to work independently.
• Familiarity with safety practices and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Previous work experience in the Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Airline Maintenance industries.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench testing of parts, subassemblies, and completed units following established procedures.
• Use simple limit direct reading gauges and meters for testing.
• Build and fabricate setup operations on less complicated test systems.
• Connect products to test equipment, monitor gauges and meters, and verify and record results.
• Comply with all safety requirements and maintain a clean and organized work area per 5S standards.
• Complete and maintain proper reports and checklists.
• Refer problems and questionable work to Lead Tester and/or Production Test Supervisor.
• Perform Lean Initiatives including Continuous Improvement.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Work with 95% efficiency to standard on all completed jobs once fully trained.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
