About The Position

The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Testbed Construction Engineer/Quality Assurance SME in Albuquerque, NM as part of our Counter-WMD Weapons and Capabilities Systems Engineering and Integration Team, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Primary responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on testbed construction activities. Specific duties include the following: Monitor testbed / test article / test tunnel / test support facilities construction activities and submit reports to DTRA/RD-TSTM via the contracting officer’s representative (COR) on matters related to schedule updates, work in progress, potential issues and resolutions, Quality Assurance and performance of the contract. Gather all pertinent information on behalf of the Government while monitoring a construction project. Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports and make recommendations to address any issues concerning schedule, safety, engineering and Quality Assurance. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters and 2+ prior relevant experience OR 4+ years additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline
  • National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) License
  • US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Control for Contractors certification
  • OSHA 30 hour certification or EM-385 40 hour certification
  • Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is a MUST

Nice To Haves

  • Prior support to DTRA RD-TS or RD-CXW
  • Construction management experience
