About The Position
IEM is the largest independent full-line manufacturer of electrical distribution and control systems in North America. The Company has developed one of the most sophisticated electrical product manufacturing systems in the world and has cultivated partnerships with leading component suppliers resulting in optimal solutions to customer problems. IEM has offices in California, Florida, Canada, and Belgium. The Test Technician position is responsible for testing the functionality of Power Distribution Centers (PDCs) and individual components within, while validating the overall functionality of the completed project. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to interpret electrical diagrams effectively. In this position, the technician will be responsible for positioning and connecting equipment in preparation for testing. A general knowledge of electricity is essential, along with strong wiring skills and mechanical aptitude. The technician will perform wire checks, Hi-Pots, and various forms of electrical testing. Additionally, the technician will assist other Test Technicians in the checkout and functional testing of equipment, ensuring that the functionality of projects aligns with the prepared Sequence of Operations. All required documentation must be completed and posted in the appropriate job folder, and the technician may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
