About the position

Spartronics is seeking dedicated individuals for the manufacturing and assembly of critical components in the Aerospace & Defense industry. This role involves supporting production with various testing activities, developing test procedures, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies. The position is based in Brooksville, Florida, and requires a commitment to quality and collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support production with test activities including setup and training of functional testing equipment.
  • Assist Engineering in planning, data gathering, and setup of process controls/studies.
  • Troubleshoot board and box level assembly failures to component level using schematics and common test equipment.
  • Set up test equipment for troubleshooting various types of products.
  • Perform root cause analysis to determine if failures are product or test related.
  • Develop functional test procedures and build custom fixtures for production testing.
  • Perform ESS testing (vibration, thermal testing) and support production with other test activities.
  • Assist in the electronic repair of production machinery and record performance results.
  • Train Technicians and Operators to perform functional testing per procedures.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and facilitate maintenance and calibration services.

Requirements

  • Electronics Technician Diploma or associate degree in related field; or comparable vocational-technical certificate, military technical training; or combination of education/experience in related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based PC applications, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow complex schematic diagrams, assembly drawings, and test specifications.
  • Good math fundamentals, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work overtime on short notice with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with hazardous chemicals, hazardous wastes, and biohazards.
  • Certification to Advanced Soldering Workmanship Standards and ESD precautions.
