About The Position

EOTAK is seeking a hands-on Test Technician to support the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of aerospace and defense systems. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers to build, troubleshoot, and validate complex electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical systems used in mission-critical applications such as avionics, rada, communication, and control systems.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; this position may require access to export controlled information subject to U.S. export laws
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits, embedded systems, and electromechanical components.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Problem solving under guidance: Recognizing abnormal behavior, escalating issues appropriately, and contributing to root cause efforts.
  • Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent military/technical training.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an Engineering Technician in the aerospace, defense, or electronics industry.
  • Skilled in hand soldering, cable assembly, and use of electronic test equipment.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MIL STD wiring, IPC A 610/620 workmanship standards, or NASA STD 8739.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and automated test setups (LabVIEW, Python, etc.).
  • Experience supporting environmental stress screening (ESS), vibration, or thermal testing.
  • Knowledge of RF systems, avionics, or aerospace hardware assembly.
  • Prior experience in a classified or ITAR regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assembly, integration, and testing of embedded and electronic systems for defense and aerospace applications.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies.
  • Support prototype builds, wiring harness fabrication, soldering, and PCB assembly or modification.
  • Perform troubleshooting and failure analysis on electronic and electromechanical subsystems.
  • Conduct functional, environmental, and vibration tests following military and aerospace standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-160).
  • Document test procedures, results, and configuration changes in accordance with quality assurance and configuration management processes.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback on manufacturability, assembly methods, and test performance.
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-level testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and cleanroom standards where applicable.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory, calibration schedules, and equipment readiness.
