About The Position

E Ink is seeking a technician who will be responsible for performing accurate, repeatable, and standardized testing to ensure product quality, reliability, performance, and safety. The role supports scientists and engineers throughout the full product development lifecycle, from early-stage research and prototyping through pilot builds and mass production. As part of an innovative R&D and engineering team, the ideal candidate must demonstrate strong technical discipline, flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering precise, data-driven feedback in a timely manner. This role plays a critical part in validating product specifications and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma at minimum, Bachelors degree is a plus, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the testing field
  • Attention to detail, good analytical skills, problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Standardize and document sample preparation procedures for optical, mechanical, and environmental testing under supervisor guidance.
  • Execute test protocols to evaluate product performance, durability, functionality, and reliability.
  • Conduct routine and non-routine testing in accordance with internal standards and engineering requirements.
  • Support DOE (Design of Experiments) and validation builds when required.
  • Work closely with team members to translate technical requirements into clear, actionable test procedures.
  • Provide timely feedback on sample making and test results to support design iterations and failure analysis.
  • Participate in troubleshooting activities to identify root causes of product or process issues.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and verify testing equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and repeatability.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and safety protocols.
  • Accurately collect, analyze, and document test data.
  • Prepare clear and concise test reports summarizing findings and observations.
  • Identify anomalies, trends, or deviations and escalate appropriately.
