This role is a 12-hour rotating C-shift role Test Technician C Shift Company: Jabil, Inc. --- Job Summary As a Test Technician on the C Shift at Jabil, Inc., you will be responsible for performing a variety of electrical, mechanical, and functional tests on electronic assemblies and products. You will work within a manufacturing environment to ensure product quality and reliability, troubleshoot failures, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. ---

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or a similar manufacturing role, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with common electronic test equipment (e.g., DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with data entry and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Must be able to work the C Shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Execute standardized test procedures on electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products using various test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, functional testers, power supplies).
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot defects, failures, and non-conformances identified during testing, utilizing schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Document test results accurately and thoroughly, including pass/fail status, defect codes, and repair actions, into relevant data systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the testing area to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Support new product introductions by assisting with test fixture setup and validation.
  • Provide clear and concise communication regarding test status and potential issues to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
