About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is seeking a Test Technician for its Beltsville, MD team. This full-time, onsite position involves pressure testing aircraft ducting systems, serializing parts, using a 2D Part Marking System, and conducting visual examinations to ensure quality and detect damages. The role requires reading routers for drawing requirements, determining marking specifications, printing ATP forms, and verifying parts meet drawing requirements through weighing and measuring. The successful candidate will also be responsible for multitasking and prioritizing parts to ensure on-time delivery. The core working hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm, with mandatory overtime possible. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour, with salaries based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market/business considerations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
  • Requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); all applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Ability to interpret aerospace drawings, and using measuring equipment including but not limited to: calipers, measuring scale, and pi tape
  • Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Successfully complete a DOT‑required pre‑employment drug test
  • Remain subject to ongoing drug and/or alcohol testing, including random testing, in accordance with federal regulations

Responsibilities

  • Pressure test aircraft ducting systems using High Pressure and Burst Tests
  • Serialize parts to properly identify part placement
  • Use 2D Part Marking System
  • Conduct underwater visual examination to ensure quality of weld and leakage
  • Read routers for drawing requirements and determining marking specs and location
  • Perform visual inspection to detect damages that may occur prior to delivery
  • Print and fill out ATP form
  • Weigh, measure, and check that parts meet drawing requirements
  • Multi-task and prioritize parts to sustain on time delivery
