The Test Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production/test environment, line maintenance and/or chemical handling. What You Will Do This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s) Test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment. Observe, analyze, and report test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment. Work closely from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings. Ability to validate the correctness of procedures. Select, set up and operate engineering and scientific equipment. Utilize various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. May include configuration/data administration. Checks for work correctness. Train junior test technicians focusing on basic electronic principles and radio frequency theory of operations and troubleshooting methodology. Communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s) Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to choose pass/fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed. Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose failures from system level to Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and to component. This will be a 1st shift, onsite role in our Forest, MS facility.

Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training with minimum of 6 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failure trends.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply) evaluation.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Radio Frequency or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.
  • Previous work in a manufacturing/production test environment
  • Data entry experience with and industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) such as PRISM, Oracle E-Business, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or etc.
