About The Position

The Teast Tech Lead works in a high-power environment and will be at the heart of maintaining the highest standards of safety, accuracy, and performance in our testing processes. The Test Team Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring continuous production flow in testing by relieving bottlenecks within the department. Filling in positions as needed, identifying product/technical solutions and/or notifying Supervisors that solutions are needed. By assisting and working closely with Test Supervisors and with colleagues across production and quality teams. The Test Team Coordinator will help drive our culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in electrical engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years test engineering experience with electrical-based products.
  • Basic working knowledge in power/electrical engineering AC products and DC batteries.
  • Knowledge of AC and Power Distribution products required.
  • Thorough knowledge of 3-Phase electrical circuits (high power).
  • Thorough knowledge of digital and electronic circuitry.
  • Ability to use standard electrical instruments.
  • Leadership and communication skills. Ability to give direction to other Test Technicians & communicate personnel and test issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional attitude towards customer relations.
  • Self-directed, good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift to 50-75 lbs (23-34 kg) and team lift to 100-150 lbs (45-68 kg)

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Health and Safety of all personnel in area where testing is conducted.
  • Ensuring all tools and test equipment are safe, fit for purpose, and have passed necessary inspections.
  • Accurately complete and maintain both digital and manual records of test results.
  • Oversee the normal day to day activities in the department.
  • Verification of test results to ensure alignment with predetermined acceptable values.
  • Upload and manage test reports/results in the system repository.
  • Assist with fault diagnosis and remedial actions as needed.
  • Provide training to test associates following established SOJT process and QEW safety protocols.
  • Assist in troubleshooting software and hardware to solve problems in the automated test systems.
  • Perform test validation of total automation system.
  • Keep Test Supervisor informed of progress/problems. Recommends changes in procedures.
  • Perform functional testing of UPS and other Liebert Products.
  • Troubleshooting and/or repairing of faulty equipment.
