Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 0-2 years related experience in battery/aerospace or technical field.
  • Proficient in use of electrical test equipment (DMM, Power Supply) and basic inspection tools (caliper, height gauge). 
  • Knowledge of circuits, DC voltage, and/or batteries.
  • Read, understand and work effectively with drawings and documentation including wiring drawings, test work instructions, test procedures, and test equipment operation manuals.
  • Familiar with space test processes and procedures and a good working knowledge of Lithium-Ion battery hardware.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions.
  • Must be able to differentiate colors.
  • This position is exposed to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products. Periodic blood tests are required to measure the level of lead. Precautions are taken by the company/employee to reduce the risk of exposure and help ensure everyones safety.
  • Risk of electrical shock.
  • Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain test chambers and battery test equipment.
  • Create and review test documents (procedures, travelers, and reports).
  • Utilize documents and operating procedures to prepare equipment and hardware for product processing
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of tools and equipment.
  • Ensure that equipment is well maintained, calibrated, and ready for use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the test lab.
  • Incoming inspection and processing of cells
  • Prepare cells for assembly
  • Maintain documentation to accurately capture the status of work in progress.
  • Other duties as assigned
