Position Summary: The Production Tester 2 position is responsible for testing of gas and diesel generator sets to ensure proper function, with troubleshooting any issue that may arise during the test. This position will also be responsible for communicating, organizing and providing input to test engineers or the supervisor. Key Accountabilities: Perform final acceptance test of new and overhauled generator sets Follow testing procedures by running the engine and testing alarms, adding load to the generator set, and any other special testing Perform required special tests on job specific generator sets Communicate internally the results of testing, along with recommendations for product improvement Calculate performance of generator set by calculating the voltage and frequency dip/spike based on transient loading using a calculator Calculate performance of generator set using test data, standard formulas, computer, or calculator Operate computerized test equipment to enter, retrieve, and compute test data Responsible for following safety and environmental procedures Provide input on continuous improvement opportunities within the department Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct. Perform special projects as required

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
  • 2 years of testing experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. frequently

  • Good understanding of electricity (i.e., A/C and D/C)
  • Good ability to access information needed with SAP system
  • Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Good ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables

  • Good ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates proficiency in both oral and written communication as well as communicate in a team environment

  • Good understanding of wiring schematics
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Power Generation Industry experience
