About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled Test Team Quality Engineer to support our customer in Falls Church, VA. The ideal candidate will manage test teams, execute test plans, analyze data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Client experience requirements: Between 6 to 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Client education requirements: BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a relevant field.
  • 4 years of additional equivalent experience can be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with test planning and execution.
  • Experience in root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action and ensuring that corrective measures meet acceptable standards and documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • An active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Working knowledge of automated testing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the quality activities of four test teams who also participate in fly-away assignments.
  • Leads the quality analysis process and provides feedback, instructions, and metrics to waterfront test teams through the Site Program managers.
  • Manages the testing status and regularly updates Quality Manager.
  • Directs and mitigates highly complex issues with impactful solutions for minimal business impact.
  • Oversees and leads regular meetings to cultivate effective working relationships between cross-functional groups for the development of action plans to address quality issues.
  • Develops plans, training, and holds virtual conferences as needed to address quality issues.
  • Manages the quality assurance trainings and ensures trainings meet quality requirements.
