About The Position

Join the Johnson Controls team as a Test Stand Operator B at our San Antonio, TX plant. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals while developing essential skills in functional testing of chillers and facility operations/maintenance.

Requirements

• Must understand and follow safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Vision corrected to 20/20.
• Handling equipment (frequently).
• Must be able to read and perform high school level math or equivalent.
• Working knowledge and a minimum of one year of operations, maintenance and repair experience in the following areas: Three phase electrical power distribution systems, transformers (208-4160 van).
• Liquid chilling units from 150 to 2000 tons, York equipment preferred.
• Cooling towers, pneumatic control valves, water pumps, motors up to 1200 hp.
• Data instrumentation systems with pressure transducers, flow meters, resistance thermometers.
• As a condition of employment, participation in a Continuous Improvement Team is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing and facility operation.
• Repair chillers and facility equipment.
• Maintain facility and equipment.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
• Maintain and inventory equipment and storage.
